Japan – Mountain Spirit
All of nature, including mountains and hills, are sacred spaces in Japan. Images in this collection include Koya-San, Eiheiji Temple, Mt. Hiei and Mt. Inari in Kyoto. There are also cultural references to mountains and a shrine to Mt. Fuji that are expressions of respect.
