🏔️🇳🇵Mera ~ 6,654m/21,831ft ~ Summited December 1, 2023
Dec 8, 2023The morning of December 1, 2023 dawned clear for the first few hours on Mera (6.654m/21,831ft) in the Sagarmatha Zone of Nepal. To the East, we could see Kangchenjunga (28,169ft/8,586m), which we summited in 2022, and the Everest range to the West. I photographed with the Leica SL2 and then the Leica Q3 from High Camp to the summit. Climbing Mera was a beautiful way to end an epic year. I’m incredibly grateful for each step in these gorgeous mountains. So grateful to Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita for her love and strength on our 7th climb together and to my partner Thomas Werner for his courage and persistence on his first journey to Nepal.
