Wandering In Wonder – Around the Alps
Oct 2, 2023“Wandering in wonder” is how I would describe a journey around the Alps this summer. After a decade working in the extremes of the Himalayas I had no idea what to expect from a mountain range in the heart of Europe. The high peaks of Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France retained their wildness – the sublime vastness of nature – despite being 10,000ft lower than mountains I am used to traveling on foot. I was grateful to walk in the Alps with an open mind and heart, in wonder of their similarity and differences. Mountains are mountains, simultaneously home and adventure, full to their heights of mystery and meaning. I look forward to sharing glimpses of the Alps in this new collection of mountain images, “Wonder,” very soon.
