Designing Luminous Everest
Jan 20, 2019An elegant, informative and inspired design from Michael Motley… What a thrill it has been to work with Michael to put together Luminous Everest for Mountainfilm on Tour Savannah. It’s been a creative, collaborative project resulting in a special edition book with twenty-four black and white images of Mt. Everest made over three years trekking in Solu-Khumbu, Nepal.
The cover is a hundred and fifty mile panorama of the Everest Range wrapping around the interior and exterior.
The book has a hand-stitched binding similar to traditional red thread mala prayer bracelets with the intention that the book elevates and inspires, as does Mt. Everest, which exists in both ice and imagination.
I’m pleased to offer twelve copies of this book at the upcoming exhibit of “Luminous Everest” at Moutainfilm on Tour Savannah this week.
