A Familiar Mystery… Japan
Apr 1, 2017I am not a flower person, per se. I am more into mountains and snow. Except when the cherry blossoms bloom in Japan it is a suspended blizzard of beauty, reflected in the joy of all who are lucky enough to catch the transcendent timing of the sakura blooming. Japan, with it’s smart cities, technical feats and honored traditions is a nature country. Nature is celebrated and sculpted, cared for and curated. I am in awe of the poetry, impeccability, sensibility and sensitivity of the Japanese culture. Japan is a familiar mystery to me and always a great joy to return in any season.
Walking along a back street of Tokyo we came upon this tiny temple, almost completely lost in a whiteout of cherry blossoms.
Enjoy the journey.
In Light,
Cira
