It’s a Long Way to Bodh Gaya…
Jan 30, 2017It’s a long way from Jackson Hole to Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Like all true pilgrimages the effort made the experience even more profound. Along with two-hundred-and-fifty-thousand others from around the world we travelled to the small town of Bodh Gaya to attend the 34th Kalachakra Ceremony taught by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. It was beautiful, challenging, crowded, complex, traditional… India. In the photograph above monks cross rice fields on the way to the Kalachakra Ceremony as thick morning fog lifts in the Indian sun. The spire of Maha Bodhi temple rises above Bodh Gaya.
