Nomads Clinic Trek, 2016
Oct 24, 2016Safely and gratefully returned from a remarkable medical trek with the Nomads Clinic medical team, offeing care to 900 villagers in remote areas of Dolpo, Nepal. Our trek was 150 miles, between 8,000-17,500ft elevation, crossing six 17,000ft passes, a remarkable physical, caregiving and cultural endeavor for all involved.
The featured image of Dr. Geoff Gailbraith helping a Nepali woman of Tibetan heritage listen to her own heartbeat through the stethoscope reflects the intention not just to dispense medicine and medical advice, but to render deep care and encouragement.
