BROAD STROKES – It’s Just Love
Mar 27, 2016It’s a deep honor to have ten pieces hanging in the Broad Strokes show with six other phenomenally talented photographers at Leica Gallery LA opening April 2, 2016. My pieces are a wide collection of images from Northern and Southern California, made over years with just about every Leica camera I’ve worked with. Some are urban and graphic some are soft and natural but there is unity in the diversity of images, in the glowing whites and deep blacks. One could say the unifyer is the photographer’s eye, but this photographer would say the unifyer is Love… Love of Photography. Love of the Moment. Love of Leica. Love of Light. Love of Life. I walk the world not taking photographs but appreciating the deep sameness in the diverse beauty. In the words of Henri Cartier-Bresson, “It’s just love.”
