In Between
Dec 26, 2015In between Sunrise and Moonset. In between Christmas and New Years. Still feeling in between Asia and the US. I suffer from culture-lag more than jet-lag. It’s confusing to jump from a place of deep nature and non-consumerism to the land of captive Christmas trees and glittery gift wrap. Mountains heal this rift. The cold, crisp air returns me to the gifts of nature, soothing my heart and my eye, grounding my body back on terra firma, no matter what the time zone. This liminal moment in the between was captured at first light on the mountains of Wyoming, as the moon set at dawn on Christmas Eve.
