Venice High
Jul 18, 2015The beach city of Venice, California has such a sense of lightness it seems the sun is always shining, even when it’s not. I love photographing the details of the neighborhood from calligraphic graffiti tags to the vast sweep of the ocean.
Venice is in a state of constant creation, which can seem both positive and destructive. And yet, the spirit of Venice always seems to reassert itself. It is a heightened state – suspended mid-air at the edge, totally energized yet utterly relaxed.
